• Monday May 16, 2005: Thank you to Doug Reid, KG6EW, and Bob Olsten, WD6DPE, for MANY years of running the monthly Low Band Intercity radio test. These unsung heroes have gone down to their EOCs on Tuesday mornings at 9:00 AM for almost more years than can be counted to take a count of working and non-working low band radios for submission to the Department of Emergency Services. New testing procedures, however, are going to be put into operation and the morning low band testing has come to an end. So again, many thanks to Doug and Bob for all they have done for the department.

We asked Doug and Bob to come by the DES office rather than proceed to their last radio test so that we could thank them personally and offer them a small token of our appreciation.
